James Hamilton

Having represented Australia as a Fulbright post-doctoral scholar in the field of renewable and storage integration, James has contributed consistently to the development of the renewables sector in Australia since 2007.

Best known for his contributions pioneering high renewable penetration within off grid power systems, James holds an extensive publication record within the industry’s leading journals across the fields of renewable, storage and hydrogen integration.

James has over 20 years of technology commercialisation and project development experience, having worked extensively in renewable markets within Australia, New Zealand, India, South Africa, China, and North America. James was formerly Technology Innovation and Hydrogen lead at BayWa r.e., as well as a founding director of Joule Logic. Prior to 2007, James worked within the resource sector for Rio Tinto as a commercialisation engineer, for which he was acknowledged by Engineers Australia during the 2008 Australian engineer of the year awards.
