Voted by his peers as one of Australia's 100 Green Power Players in 2022 alongside 12 others in the Renewable Energy category, Garth is best known for his role in developing South Australia's big battery (150MW) supplied by Elon Musk's Tesla, and built in record time in 2017.

Garth has over 20 years of management, banking, technical and construction experience in the wind energy industry and has made substantial contributions to wind power projects and transactions across China, Australia, India, South Africa, Latin America, and USA. Garth was formerly Head of Development for Neoen Australia, General Manager of Windlab Australia, and Director of Business Development for Goldwind International. Prior to working for Goldwind, Garth spent two years as Vice President, Renewable Energy and Climate Change for Macquarie Bank based out of Hong Kong. Garth was also one of the founding members of Roaring 40s, an Australian wind developer that completed approximately 1000MW wind power projects across Australia, China and India.
